Kalahari Kids

From 27 May - 3 June 2008, when Alexander was 5 and Sophie 2, we went to the Kalahari on holiday. We stayed at Corheim Guest Farm on the way, and Loch Broom on the way back from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. In the park we stayed at Twee Riveren, Nossob and the Kalahari Tented Camp.

During those eight days, we drove 2500km, with the kids amazingly quietly occupied by 11 Asterix books and 12 hours of Roald Dahl children's books on CD. Alexander ticked off 13 out of 16 animals and birds in the special children's guidebook we bought. In camp, they played cricket, violin on a bunk bed, watched ground squirrels and mongooses (and Xander was bitten by a ground squirrel!), swam and arranged a birthday party for Daddy.
