Finni was fascinated by the penguins, so that Daddy bought him his own to bring home with him. Sophie so wanted one that we had to get her her own on Table Mountain. They are known as Penguina and Penguinda.

While Jonathan went to pick up his race number, the rest of us did a guided tour of Cape Town Castle and saw the firing of the noon-day gun. Or rather an attempt to fire the noon-day gun, as two cannons failed and eventually they gave up.

After that we took the opportunity of clear skies, and went up Table Mountain in the afternoon. Miraculously there were no queues.
Xander finished in about 42 minutes - you can see the first 4km of the 5km race here. Lisa, Sophie and I came in just under an hour, which was a PB for Sophie.

Jonathan ran the Two Oceans Ultra-Marathon in a careful 5:50 (training for Comrades). The rest of us went downstairs at the correct time to see him run past.
On Easter day, the kids and I went to the New Fire service at Kalk Bay Anglican church. Then we opened Easter eggs, and went out to lunch at the Brass Bell.
We went to the aquarium with Jonathan's friend Barend and his two children.
It was very windy and cold going to the tip of Cape Point.

Before we left Kalk Bay, Jonathan and Sophie made sure to do a photo shoot at St James.
En route to Paternoster, we stopped off for lunch at Langebaan.
At Paternoster we chilled out, practised violin, played on the beach, flew a kite and Jonathan went running.
