Alexander walked for the first time on 24 April 2004, 13 days after his first birthday. He walked from Mummy to Daddy, four or five steps across the lounge. The building contractors Nick and Johan were also there to watch. He followed up with numerous short walks across the lounge from the table or from one parent to the other.
