May 2004	His favourite joke at the moment is to have one sip of milky, and then stop drinking just so that he can sign more and then start drinking properly. The only thing is that he finds it so funny that he often can't suck after that!
17 May 2004	Said "gudd morning" back to Grandpa
19 May 2004	First signing argument/conversation: We heard a hadeda, I said "hadeda" and signed bird. Alexander signed dog back to me! Either he thought it sounded like a dog, or he could hear a dog I didn't hear.
22 May 2004	Alexander signed and said hot after I did when he touched the heater.
24 May 2004	Signed socks. 5th tooth
28 May 2004	Hugged his toy dog, Polly Esther, and signed dog on her back.
30 May 2004	Preferred walking to crawling
31 May 2004	Used "my", first "my towel" in an echo, a few days later "my Daddy", "my Mama" etc. Pointed at his toes and said "toes" several times.
1 June 2004	Signed baby when I asked him where his baby (doll) was. A few days later he did it at a real baby. Walked with his arms down, rather than up for balance.
6 June 2004	Said "words, words, words" when we went to read words
7 June 2004	Signed down. Said "Melly" when playing with her.
8 June 2004	Signed shoes at Daddy's shoes and boat at his boats in the bath. Said "ta" when passing something to me.
9 June 2004	Said "good" back to Gogo. Waved when someone mentioned "going" or "gone" in conversation.
