Alexander played his first cricket match on 3 February 2010 when he was 6 and a half years old. He played for Radford House juniors (grade 1-3) team, against Agape Christian School, who were the 2009 league Champions. Playing to junior cricket rules, each of the eight children in the team got to bat an over and bowl an over. Alexander was out once batting, and scored 3 runs, for a total of positive 1. And to their joyful amazement, Radford won the match 36 to 32! Alexander was congratulated by his teacher for his good team spirit, encouraging the other members of his team.
